Before the 2020 release was revealed, Fujiwara showcased a blue, white, and black colorway in 2019, along with an all-gray version of the shoe. Among the unreleased AJ3s from the collaboration, there's a detailed look at a black and white version of the 2020 pair. This design simply swaps the colors: the upper is black instead of white, and the mudguard is white instead of black. The most notable change is at the heel, where the clear tab with layered branding is replaced by traditional Nike Air branding on a black tab.
